Hezbollah announced today that its members shot down an Israeli drone with a surface-to-air missile in southern Lebanon.

The party said in a statement that the downed drone was a Hermes 450 and described it as a “multi-mission combat drone”, noting that it was shot down by a surface-to-air missile at a quarter to two. after midnight.

The statement indicated that drone debris was seen falling over the Galilee Finger area in northern Israel.

Before that, the Israeli military announced that its air defenses had intercepted a surface-to-air missile from Lebanon that targeted its march.

The Israeli military said on Platform X that defense systems did not register the missile’s penetration into Israeli territory.

The agency indicated that the bombing area extended to the outskirts of the city of Al-Mansouri in the western sector, noting that Israeli reconnaissance planes flew all last night and into this morning over villages in the western and western sectors. central.

He said the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) sounded sirens more than once in its centers around the towns of Tair Harfa, Shamaa and Naqoura.

The Israel Broadcasting Authority said today that around 20 rockets were fired from areas of southern Lebanon towards northern Israel. Authorities added that the missiles fell in open areas and there were no casualties, while the Israeli army began responding to the sources of fire.

Since October 8, the border between Lebanon and Israel has been the scene of intense tensions and intermittent firefights between the Israeli army on the one hand, and the Lebanese Hezbollah and Palestinian factions on the other, resulting in deaths and injuries from both sides.
