Superstars LeBron James and Stephen Curry, along with other NBA greats, will be willing to represent Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics, multiple media outlets reported on Monday.
Two-time Olympic champion LeBron has been recruiting other NBA stars to help Team USA win its fifth consecutive Olympic gold medal, The Athletic reports.
For his part, Curry expressed a desire to join the Olympic team under the guidance of Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr, ESPN reported.
The news comes a day after the United States finished fourth at the 2023 Basketball World Cup, held in Japan, Indonesia and the Philippines, with Germany surprisingly winning.
The German team defeated the United States in the semifinals, but the United States lost to Canada in the third-place match.

LeBron, 38, led the U.S. team to gold medals at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and 2012 London Olympics, but has not played for the national team since then.
He was also part of the team that won only a bronze medal at the 2004 Athens Olympics, the first team of NBA players to fail to win a championship since the 1992 Barcelona Olympics.
According to media reports, LeBron has called Curry and Kevin Durant to convince them to participate in Paris in 2024.

The Phoenix Suns’ Durant, who turns 35 at the end of the month, is a three-time Olympic champion who competed in London 2012, Rio de Janeiro 2016 and Tokyo 2020.
Curry never played for the U.S. Olympic team, but he won the 2010 and 2014 World Cup titles.
LeBron will also recruit his Lakers teammate and power forward Anthony Davis, Golden State Warriors’ Draymond Green and Boston Celtics’ Jayson Tatum, according to The Athletic.
