LeBron James’ manager Maverick Carter has made a surprise admission that he used an illegal bookmaker to place bets on NBA games.
Sports betting has become extremely popular in the United States, and it has become increasingly accepted in recent years. However, LeBron James’ agent Maverick Carter made some remarks after admitting on Thursday that he had been using illegal bookmakers to place bets on NBA games.
Carter admitted as much in 2021, when federal agents were investigating Wayne Nix, The Washington Post’s Gus Garcia-Roberts reported. Nicks was a known gambler and “he has pleaded guilty.”

In 2021, before 38 states and the District of Columbia legalized sports betting, sports betting will be legalized,” spokesman Adam Mendelsohn said in a statement.
