Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has announced the release of his second children’s book, titled “I’m Not Just.”
The book is set to be released on April 2, 2024, and is currently available for pre-order.
James previously published a children’s book called “I Promise” in 2020, which became a New York Times bestseller.
“I Promise” was inspired by the “I Promise School” established in 2018 in James’ hometown of Akron, Ohio.
James released a statement with the book’s release, writing, “It has been incredible to see students, teachers, and families react to I Promise and its message of encouragement.”
“With this next book, we hope to continue to inspire kids around the world to keep dreaming and not let anything hold them back.
“I Am More Than” is about believing in yourself and believing in all the amazing things you can achieve that no one else can define for you. My hope is that everyone who reads this will be inspired to “go above and beyond” in everything they do.
James is currently preparing for his 20th NBA season and is coming off another playoff run, with the Lakers ending the season in the Western Conference Finals after being swept by the NBA champion Denver Nuggets.
James played 55 games last season, averaging 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds and 6.8 assists per game.
As the Lakers prepare to open their season on Tuesday, October 24, when they face the defending champion Nuggets in a rematch of the conference finals, James has played sparingly in the preseason.
