NBA superstar LeBron James will release another children’s book next year.
The picture book, titled “I Am More Than,” will be released on April 2, 2024, according to HarperCollins.
In this book, four-time NBA champion and illustrator Niña Mata reunite after releasing I Promise in 2020.
“I don’t just believe in myself, I believe in my ability to do all the amazing things that no one else can define for you,” James said in a press release Thursday. “I hope everyone who reads this People who read are inspired to ‘go above and beyond’ in everything they do.”
The book has a colorful cover with three smiling children holding up the title in a cheerful mood.
“With this next book, we hope to continue to inspire kids everywhere to keep dreaming and not let anything hold them back,” James continued.
The press release says the book is “an empowering and inspiring picture book that shows young readers that they are more than just a label, trait, or interest—they can be anything they put their mind to.”
Luana Horry, the book’s executive editor, said the book “will undoubtedly inspire the next generation of leaders to achieve everything they dream of…and more.”
James’s debut novel, “I Promise,” became the number one New York Times best-selling picture book.
The Los Angeles Lakers and James will open their 2023-24 NBA season against the defending champion Nuggets on Tuesday, October 24, in Denver.
The game will be televised in the United States on TNT. CNN and TNT share the same parent company, Warner Bros. Discovery Channel.
Last season, James became the NBA’s all-time scoring leader.
In 2020, HarperCollins announced a two-book deal with the James Foundation.
