LeBron James’ reaction to setting an NBA record has gone viral.

The 38-year-old Los Angeles Lakers superstar has become the oldest player in the NBA and is preparing for his 21st season in the 2023-24 league year.

With Udonis Haslem and Andre Iguado both unsigned and not officially retired, LeBron becomes the oldest active player in the NBA.

James, the oldest player in the league, was told Thursday during Lakers practice.

After being asked for his reaction to the feat, LeBron put his head in his hands, faked a scream, and sprinted onto the court.

Later, a clip of James violently dunking on the other side of the court was played.

The viral video was shared on the official NBA account Xformerly known as Twitter.

The post has racked up 11 million views and is still growing as James commented on the post with a series of screaming emojis.

NBA fans had a lot to say after witnessing LeBron’s reaction.

One wrote: “Very funny.”

Another commented: “The oldest and the best.”

A third said: “Long live the King.”

A fourth added: “He still gets it.”

James will turn 39 in December.

Last season, LeBron and the Lakers made it to the Western Conference Finals, where they were swept by the eventual NBA champion Denver Nuggets.

The Lakers will face the Nuggets in the season opener on Tuesday, October 24th.
