Puka Nacua believes LeBron James is the greatest player in NBA history. The Rams rookie receiver has made his feelings on the matter clear long before they took their talents to their respective sports in Los Angeles.
Nacua has quickly become an NFL star this season — his 39 catches for 501 yards are all career records in a player’s first four games — but hearing James sing his praises in an Instagram video must have made him feel Excited to release early Sunday.
While reviewing the draft picks for this week’s NFL game, the Lakers superstar mentioned that Super Bowl MVP receiver Cooper Kupp will be on the field later that afternoon when the Rams host the Philadelphia Eagles Debut.
It was then that Nakua received high praise from one of his heroes.

“Kup is back today, so now you have this dynamic duo, the two-headed monster of Kupp and Puka Doncic,” James said, deliberately mixing Nakua’s name with Combined last names of Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic.
“They call him Puka Doncic, man — in his first four games, he’s the leading receiver in NFL history. We also saw him score a touchdown in that game last week , Matthew Stafford threw the ball over the ropes.”
Nakua’s response? Well, that’s what happened shortly after he arrived at the SoFi Stadium.
“@AsapPuka is a fan of yours too, @KingJames,” the Rams posted on X (formerly Twitter) with a video of Nacua walking across the parking lot wearing a white Lakers jersey and James’ No. 6 jersey.
James ultimately picked the Hawks to win that game, and he was right as Philadelphia won 23-14. But his prediction of a two-headed monster was also correct – Nacua was outstanding again, with seven catches for 71 yards and his second NFL touchdown, and Kupp had eight catches for 118 yards.

Nakua has made no secret of his feelings for James on social media, with posts like this and many others expressing similar thoughts:

James, meanwhile, received a flurry of yelling during another NFL game on Sunday when Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen yelled: “Hey, LeBron James! LeBron James!” Brown James!” he made the talkie call during his team’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London.
James had the same reaction as everyone else watching that game.
“I wonder what Josh Allen meant when he yelled out ‘LeBron James.’ Haha,” I posted on X.
