LeBron James has touching shout-out to Dwyane Wade after teaming up at Lakers game

Los Angeles star LeBron James shared a message on his social media for Dwyane Wade after the two met at a Lakers game.

When people think of iconic teammates and friends in the NBA, the first duo that comes to mind is the relationship between Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James and former player Dwyane Wade. The two rekindled their spark during the Lakers’ game against the Portland Trail Blazers, with James sending a message to Wade on social media.

They were seen talking to each other with 6 minutes and 10 seconds left in the second quarter of the game.James quoted and said on his Instagram story No matter how many times it happened, it would never weaken their friendship.

“My brother @dwyanewade!!!” James said. “No matter how much time passes in between, when we meet, it will be back to the way it was before!”

James missed Sunday night’s game with a bruised leg. However, the Lakers went on to win 116-110 without him.

The everlasting friendship between James and Wade

LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Miami Heat

Both have a well-known history of forming superteams with Chris Bosh with the Miami Heat, when the team reached four consecutive NBA Finals and won two consecutive championships during that time. There’s no doubt that Wade was one of the reasons James left the Cleveland Cavaliers for Miami in the first place.

Beyond what Wade and James accomplished, their time together on the Heat led to a lasting relationship that has continued even later in their careers. After James left Miami and returned to Cleveland, he convinced Wade to join forces with him during the 2017-18 season.

Wade started just three games and played in 46 games before being traded back to Miami to end his career. Even at the age of 38, James is still averaging 25.2 points, 8.4 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game for the Lakers so far this season, and he is trying to win his fifth championship.

The Lakers currently have a record of 5 wins and 5 losses this season, ranking eighth in the Western Conference. It’s still early in the season and there’s still a lot of work to be done as they try to get back to the Western Conference Finals like they did last season.

Their next game is Tuesday night against the Memphis Grizzlies, the second game of the NBA’s in-season tournament. Los Angeles improved to 1-0 in the group stage after defeating the Phoenix Suns on Friday.
