USC basketball freshman Bronny James appears to be making a comeback after a health scare in July. James suffered a cardiac arrest during a practice over the summer; thankfully, however, he received immediate treatment and returned to stable form, and it now appears that his prospects of playing at USC this season are as strong as ever.
Recently, Bronny’s father, NBA legend LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers, took to Instagram to react to a photo of Bronny in his USC post, writing, “A storm is coming! Him.”
Bronny James, who just turned 19, was a consensus four-star recruit out of Sierra Canyon High School in Los Angeles. ESPN ranks him as the No. 19 player in his class. This spring I decided to stay in the City of Angels and play for the USC basketball team.
However, there was a major scare this summer when he suffered a cardiac arrest, leading some to wonder if he would ever appear in court again. LeBron James recently said his son does intend to play for the Trojans at the end of the season, according to ESPN’s Myron Medcalf.
Meanwhile, James Sr. is currently preparing his Lakers for the 2023-24 season, which will come after they reached the Western Conference Finals following last season’s mid-season roster shakeup and subsequent transformation.
The Lakers’ season is scheduled to kick off on October 24; meanwhile, the USC basketball game is scheduled to begin on November 6.
