LeBron James once again represents FAMU, wearing the Florida A&M-themed LeBron 7 sneakers during the Lakers’ game against the Magic on Monday night
LeBron James showed again Show some love for Florida A&M University by wearing the orange and green LeBron 7 sneakers during the Lakers’ win over the Orlando Magic on Monday night.

This allegiance to Florida A&M is no coincidence. In 2021, James and Nike began a groundbreaking six-year partnership with the university. The partnership marks a major milestone for FAMU as it transitions from the MEAC Conference to the SWAC Conference, becoming the first school to join forces with James’ Nike apparel line.
As part of the partnership, Nike will provide internship opportunities for FAMU students and work with the university to develop programs that provide academic support to student-athletes. One of the highlights of the collaboration is the incorporation of FAMU-inspired designs into LeBron’s signature apparel. Notable include a hoodie with university logos and colors, as well as FAMU-themed sneakers, such as the APB x FAMU LeBron XX colorway released in May. The designs not only showcase the synergy between LeBron and FAMU, but also pay homage to the institution’s rich history and culture.
Released earlier this year, the FAMU-inspired LeBron 7 features a green upper with orange accents, a white Nike swoosh with an orange outline with subtle black flecks, and university logos on the tongue, completing the nod to Florida A&M. A tribute to the university. The version James wore on Monday was primarily black with orange Nike Swoosh logos and an orange outline surrounding the sneaker.
Hopefully James will be proudly wearing more FAMU apparel soon. Additionally, he should check out FAMU when he comes to the Florida area during the season.
