LeBron James’ Lakers come to Cleveland and beat Cavaliers

CLEVELAND (AP) — Anthony Davis scored 23 of his season-high 32 points in the second half and grabbed 13 rebounds on Saturday night, LeBron James scored 22 points and the Los Angeles Lakers advanced on Wednesday. Beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 121-115 on Saturday night.

In the fourth quarter, the Lakers established an 8-point advantage, but the Cavaliers chased the score to 113-112 at the basket when Mobley fouled. Mobley then missed a free throw, and James followed with a layup and dunk. Los Angeles led 117-112 with 1 minute and 12 seconds left in the game.

James extended his league record for double-digit points to 1,167 games, raising his total to an unprecedented 39,060 points in 21 NBA seasons. He is Cleveland’s career leader in points, rebounds, assists, steals, minutes played and games played.

Earlier in the day, a museum commemorating his life, “LeBron James’ Home Field,” opened at his family foundation’s Three Thirty home in Akron. Admission is $23, matching his uniform number.

“He is a great young man who has made tremendous contributions on the basketball court, in business and in education,” Lakers coach Davon Hamm said.

Cleveland played its highest-scoring quarter of the season, leading 40-35 after the first quarter and its highest score at halftime, leading 71-70 into the intermission.
