Bronny James, son of Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, attended several home games earlier this season. Considering the health scares he endured during the offseason, this was a great sight for many.

But Bronny has been on the road to recovery ever since, apparently spending some time going to his father’s Lakers games in addition to being a freshman at USC. But LeBron doesn’t believe his son is just enjoying the game as much as he believes he’s studying the game in a way that most others can’t.

“When he’s playing, he’s a student of the game, so he’s probably watching it through the same lens that I am, which is probably a lot different than a lot of other people,” LeBron said. “He learned how to play the game, but he also learned how to study the game and look at it from a different perspective.”

Most importantly, however, LeBron is happy just having Bronny around since he doesn’t see the college student that often anymore.

“But I don’t know, it’s great to have him here,” the Lakers star added. “Obviously we know what’s going on this summer, so to see my man with a smile on his face, he’s a great college kid. Anyone who has a college kid knows they’re going to be gone and you might not see him for a week or two , and then they show up at your house when they need laundry done and want a fresh meal.

“It makes me super happy. Yesterday was the first time I saw him in two weeks. But it’s OK, I understand. He goes to school, he practices, he’s training. Listen, this boy is 19 years old, but this is FaceTime the use of.”

Any parent who has sent their child off to college knows exactly how James feels when it comes to spending time with his child. But as he said, Bronny has his own schedule and is continuing to work toward getting back on the field, which included participating in pregame warmups before the Trojans’ most recent game.

“Yeah, that’s the next step. Awesome. He is,” LeBron added. “Today’s game was the first game he had a chance to warm up with the team, so he’s almost there. “

LeBron James is many things, but beyond being a Lakers star or a community leader, it’s clear he loves being a father.

Lakers’ Austin Reeves admits targeting Bronny James after clutch 3-pointer

Not only did LeBron put on a show for Bronny, but Austin Reeves also showed him some love. The Lakers guard hit a huge three-pointer in the final seconds of a win over the Rockets and then pointed to someone in the stands. In fact, Reeves would reveal that he was referring to Brownie.

“Yeah, I saw him clapping,” the Lakers guard added. “In those moments, the adrenaline takes over and you just have fun with it. But yeah, that was against him.”
