Last season, the Los Angeles Lakers had Scottie Pippen Jr., the son of NBA Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen, on their roster. They signed him to a two-way contract, and he spent most of the season playing for the G-League affiliate South Bay Lakers. They did not re-sign him this offseason, and no other NBA team selected him.He’s been playing as a regular with the South Bay team, and while he may not be a Laker anymore, his old teammate LeBron James definitely is Closely On his performance.

Since Scottie Pippen Jr. is a regular on the Lakers’ G-League team, he’s technically a free agent and can be signed by any NBA team. LeBron James certainly knows what he’s getting into this year. When NBA teams begin signing players to 10-day contracts in January, Pippen will likely be one of the players drafted.
