Last season, the Los Angeles Lakers had Scottie Pippen Jr., the son of NBA Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen, on their roster. They signed him to a two-way contract, and he spent most of the season playing for the G-League affiliate South Bay Lakers. Pippen has played six games so far for the South Bay Lakers, who are in the G-League’s Exhibition Cup stage. He is the team’s starting point guard, averaging 16.7 points, 3.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.0 blocks per game. He shot 47.4% from the field and 31.8% from the three-point line.
