McCaffrey was absolutely unstoppable in the first half, scoring two rushing touchdowns and a receiving touchdown to give the 49ers an early lead over the Cardinals. McCaffrey totaled nearly 100 yards in the first half, rushing for 53 yards on 10 carries and catching 40 yards on four catches.
Christian McCaffrey is the 49ers’ best running back in the league entering the new season. He leads the NFL in rushing yards and helped the 49ers to a 3-0 record while playing Both scored 30 points. The 49ers looked poised for another early win against the Cardinals, taking control of the game with their rushing attack, consistently gaining first downs and dismantling Arizona’s defense.
Famed Cleveland Browns fan LeBron James probably needed something to celebrate after his lackluster performance following the Browns’ loss to the Baltimore Ravens earlier in the day. McCaffrey’s monster day is not over yet, as he hopes to set a career high in a single game with four touchdowns in the second half of this game.
McCaffrey brings his touchdown total to six this season for the 49ers, who are looking to improve to a perfect 4-0 record under quarterback Brock Purdy. Locke Purdy has never lost as a starter in his young career.
