LeBron James was one of the high-profile fans watching the New York Liberty take on the Las Vegas Aces in the 2023 WNBA Finals.
James, a longtime supporter of the league, and other Los Angeles Lakers players were also among the crowd in Las Vegas, ESPN’s Andraya Carter reported. The Lakers are in town for a preseason game against the Brooklyn Nets.

LeBron James has continued to strongly support the WNBA over the years. In particular, LeBron respects ace star Aja Wilson.
“Aja is my sister,” James said on Sirius XM. “I love what she does, not just for the game of basketball itself but for the WNBA. For me to be able to support her all the way and for her to believe in me, in the sense that I can be her mentor and I can take care of her at the end An appearance is a given.
“So, good luck to her and hopefully she can bring it home.”
The Las Vegas Aces defeated the Connecticut Sun on Sunday to defeat the Liberty 99-82 to capture the 2023 WNBA Championship.

Fourteen days later, two-time MVP Candace Parker and WNBA star Alysha Clark signed with the Aces. Second-time MVP Breanna Stewart and five-time All-Star Courtney Vandersloot both left for New York as free agents shortly after.
