LeBron James thinks new children’s book ‘I’m more than just’

AKRON, Ohio — Akron native and NBA star LeBron James has created a new children’s book that shows kids they are more than just a label, interest or trait — they can be Anything they want to do.

“I Am More Than” will be released on April 2, 2024, and can be pre-ordered on the HarperCollins website. This picture book is illustrated by Niña Mata. The book is available in hardcover for $21.99 and as a digital download for $2.99.

The new children’s book is the follow-up to James and Matta’s New York Times bestselling picture book debut, “I Promise,” which was inspired by the values ​​and initiatives of James’ “I Promise” program in Akron. The program, launched in 2011, provides students and their families with the resources, incentives and academic and emotional support they need to stay in school, according to the organization’s website.

“It’s been incredible to see students, teachers, and families react to ‘I Promise’ and its message of encouragement. With this next book, we hope to continue inspiring kids around the world to keep dreaming and not let anything get in the way them,” James said in a press release. “‘I Am Beyond’ is about believing in yourself and all the amazing things you are capable of doing that no one else can define for you. I hope everyone who reads this will be inspired to work on They go ‘above and beyond’ in everything they do.”

North American rights to the book were sold to Horry from Margaret Riley King of the William Morris Agency.
