According to a leaked rumor on the net, Oppenheimer – biopic of Christopher Nolan from the all-star cast – will be the longest project of the director’s career.
Oppenheimer – awaited biopic by Christopher Nolan – will be in the hall from July 20, 2023. A project with a long gestation, whose details – including the vast all-star cast – were disclosed sparingly, until the release of theenigmatic trailer. In these hours, however, an important update regarding the length of the feature filmwho – according to the rumor – it will be the longest of the director’s career.

Christopher Nolan he is known, in the cinematic environment – and not only – for his projects with an intricate plot and length that often exceeds – abundantly – two hours. Currently the record is held by Interstellar – whose playing time is around 169 minutes. As reported by World of reels, Oppenheimer will lastHowever, about 3 hours. The director’s latest effort is therefore destined to become the longest of his career. Nolan has been missing from screens for about three years – in 2020 he was in fact released keeperambitious feature film with Robert Pattinson and John David Washington, from duration of about 150 minutes.
A little hint about the possible duration of Oppenheimer it had already been supplied, moreover, by the costume designer Ellen Mirojnickwhich had confirmed – during a podcast – that the storyline will cover a narrative arc of approximately 45 yearsfrom the early years of the scientist in Cambridge (1923) until his death in 1967. With a budget of about 100 million dollars available, Nolan has therefore decided to reconstruct in detail the life of one of the creators of the Manhattan project, which led to the creation of the atomic bomb. To take on the role of the protagonist is Cillian Murphy – known for his role in the series Peaky Blinders and recently confirmed in the cast of Small Things Like Theseproduced by Matt Damon and Ben Affleck’s Artist Equity. Emily Blunt instead lends body and voice to the Oppenheimer’s wife, KatherineWhile Florence Pugh plays the psychiatrist Jean Tatlock, scientist lover.
