Lenny Kravitz finally releases the album he’s always dreamed of making

The new album is coming in the fall

Fresh off his In Memoriam appearance at the 95th Academy Awards ceremony, Lenny Kravitz also headlined the iHeart Radio Music Awards, now in its 10th year, which also featured performances by Pink and Coldplay. A Taylor Swift videos walking alongside the 58-year-old artist backstage went viral.

The American musician, who is expected to tour again in 2024, revealed that he is working on a new album of unreleased songs: “it will be an optimistic record and will celebrate the period before becoming famous, before ‘Let Love Rule’ came out. It is what I didn’t get to record as a kid,” Lenny told Variety magazine. “In those years I was playing under another name and couldn’t make it happen” continued Kravitz, “I then found myself working on ‘Let Love Rule’. It was crucial, because in the end I used my real name”.

The album is expected to be released this fall. When he’s not immersed in music, Lenny Kravitz dabbles in movies. His latest effort was a cameo as Sean opposite Josh Duhamel and Jennifer Lopez in the romantic comedy ‘Shotgun Wedding’. Other roles have seen him busy, not only on the big screen, but also in TV series such as “Better Things” and “Star”, but certainly the character with which he is most identified is Cinna from “The Hunger Games”.
