Liz Ellis shocked The Project panellists on Thursday when she spontaneously put her feet up on the table and flaunted her bobby pins.

Ellis, who wore a short, tight red dress in the episode, risked a major wardrobe malfunction when she lifted her leg.

The moment came after host Sarah Harris compared the beloved athlete to Bigfoot before asking how big her feet were.

“Sasquatch, also known as Sasquatch, is a large and hairy humanoid mythical creature believed to live in the forests of North America,” according to online sources.

Liz gladly accepted the offensive taunt and complied, throwing her right leg up on the table.

It was a dangerous move that could have gone wrong if she had been caught on the wrong camera.

“I’m having a Sharon Stone moment,” Liz joked, referring to Stone’s infamous showcasing her co-stars in the 1992 erotic thriller Basic Instinct.

Co-hosts Sarah Harris, Waleed Ali and Sam Taunton watched in amazement as Liz showed off her athletic legs and revealed her shoe size was 11, leaving no doubt as to why she is a world-class netball star.

However, Ali is still bothered by the mention of Basic Instinct.

“May I suggest not showing that camera angle?” he joked.

Last month, it was announced that the Gladiators revival would be helmed by Ellis and Bo Ryan.

“I’m thrilled to be hosting alongside the great Liz Ellis,” he said.

“Liz is a national treasure and we’re going to have a lot of fun. I grew up watching and loving and can’t wait to do it. It will be spectacular.”

Liz, who recently won I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!, was equally delighted.

“I’m really excited to be competing in the Gladiators Australia tournament with Beau, who is in the gym as we speak trying to match our gladiators,” she said.

The high-octane show, which became a hit in 1995 and 1996, has found a home on Channel Ten.
