Lizzo gives candid interview to clear up sexual harassment claim following bitter legal battle with former dancers

HER career took a huge blow after three of her former dancers went public with a criminal complaint accusing her of fat shaming and sexual harassment.

Now Lizzo is preparing to strike back.

Following the July bombshell, which included allegations of religious and racial harassment, Lizzo released a statement detailing her disappointment with the claims made against her.

Backstage, her team was asked to give their side of the story.

I was told that when the time comes, the American singer will want to give a high-profile television interview.

A source said: “When the lawsuit became public, Lizzo was inundated with support from people who knew her.

“It was an incredibly difficult time for her and her reputation suffered greatly.

“She had a few people interested in a sit-down interview, but it looks like she’ll consider an offer from (American TV presenter) Gayle King.

“Obviously there is still a lot going on from a legal standpoint, and Lizzo is being guided by her team as to what actions are best to take.”

Since the lawsuit by her former dancers Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams and Noelle Rodriguez was made public, Lizzo has been defiant.

But she had a tough time after facing huge backlash on social media.

As one of the preeminent leaders of the body positivity movement, Lizzo’s entire ethos and message have been called into question.

She said at the time: “My work ethic, morals and respect were questioned.

“Too outrageous”

“My character was criticized.

“I usually prefer not to respond to false accusations, but these are as incredible as they sound and too outrageous to ignore.

“These sensational stories come from former employees who have already publicly admitted that they were told that their behavior during the tour was inappropriate and unprofessional.”

I think she has something to say. And her fans probably want to hear it.

Little black dress for Miss Moss.

KATE MOSS’ model daughter Leela tries on the little black dress, which is still trendy even among Gen Z, as she attended a star-studded party.

She mingled with actress Salma Hayek and Normal People co-stars Paul Mescal and Daisy Edgar-Jones at the Gucci Cosmos exhibition in London on Tuesday.

Moving is a win-win for Jaime

SHE starred in EastEnders and has just completed a brilliant role in 2:22: A Ghost Story in the West End.

But now Jamie Winstone has revealed her next career move will be teaming up with her British film legend father Ray for a new feature film.

At the premiere of actor and rapper Adam Deacon’s film Sumerland, in which Jaime plays, she said: “There’s a movie brewing.

“Next year I’m producing something with my dad.

“It’s just the beginning, and I don’t know if the screen is big enough for both Winstons, but it will be a period piece.”

Jaime also praised her pal Adam’s decision to open up about his mental health struggles in my column on Monday.

The actress, who appears alongside Jeremy Corbyn and Jennifer Saunders in the crime comedy, added: “I saw Adam rise and I saw his mental health deteriorate.

“A lot of people were very afraid of this.

“I was just happy to lead him and we grew from it together.

“Ultimately, I was always in awe of Adam because he was so talented.”

Great Night Bust-Ed

I was told Busted would be bringing a “mega” surprise guest to the final show of their tour – but even I was stunned when Ed Sheeran showed up.

The superstar joined Charlie Simpson, Matt Willis and James Bourne to perform their 2002 hit Who’s David on a stunning night at a packed O2 Arena in London.

Ed said on stage that he wanted to come and sing the song because they were one of the bands that inspired him to get into music.

Well done to him.
