Inter Miami has reached an agreement with Uruguayan veteran Luis Suarez to join the Major League Soccer (MLS) club following his departure from Gremio in December, ESPN reported on Friday.

Although Suarez signed a two-year contract when he joined Gremio in December 2022, the two parties agreed in September that the 36-year-old Suarez would leave at the end of the Brazilian Serie A. He has made 31 appearances for the club this season, scoring 10 goals and 10 assists.

ESPN revealed that Suarez signed a one-year contract with Miami, which includes an option to extend for another year after signing the contract.

Suarez will join his old Barcelona teammates Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba and, most importantly, Lionel Messi in the trip to Miami.
