Marcus Jordan’s recent comments suggest another battle between Jordan and Pippen may be brewing.
Jordan, the son of NBA Hall of Famer Michael Jordan, called out his ex Larsa Pippen in a since-deleted Instagram Story post on Tuesday.
“I wasn’t born last night,” Jordan wrote in a text overlay on the post, according to People magazine. “Rewriting history for clout is not cute.”
“Why give shorty a heart, cause she’d rather be pressured. Ahhhh, that’s courage,” he added, seemingly referring to Chris Brown’s 2014 song “Loyal.”
Marcus Jordan’s comments came the same week an episode of the “Amy and TJ” podcast was released in which Pippen discussed her relationship with him.
Their split was first reported last month. After briefly rekindling their romance, People magazine reported last week that the couple had broken up again.
Representatives for Marcus Jordan and Pippen did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Pippen said on “Amy and TJ” that she has “clarity” about her relationship with Marcus Jordan after they recently separated for some time due to her work obligations. “Understanding.
“I think when you’re on your own you either really miss that person or you realize you might not be my man,” she said, adding, “I don’t think he’s my man.”
When asked if their 16-year age gap had something to do with the breakup — Pippen is 49 and Marcus Jordan is 33 — the “Real Housewives of Miami” star denied age was a factor but said the pair are on different paths in life.
“He’s a great guy, but I just didn’t feel like it was the right fit for me,” she said, adding that she believed they would “eventually become friends.”
Pippen was married to NBA legend Scottie Pippen for more than 20 years and divorced in 2021. The reality star opened up about wanting to get married again after she started dating Marcus Jordan.
In January 2023, the two made their relationship official on Instagram.
Some have criticized Pippen and Jordan’s romance, given their intertwined family histories.
Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan were a famous NBA duo during the Chicago Bulls dynasty in the 1990s. But in recent years, both basketball greats have spoken publicly about their strained relationship.
Last February, Larsa Pippen defended her relationship with Marcus Jordan on “Tamron Hall,” saying she didn’t care about Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan’s complicated history.
“I’m living my truth and I’m happy,” she said at the time.
