MechCommander 2 is a 2001 real-time tactics video game based on the BattleTech/MechWarrior franchise, developed by FASA Interactive and distributed by Microsoft. It is a sequel to MechCommander.

How to play on Windows

  1. Click the download button. It should redirect you to your download. Make sure you download the file correctly and that the Internet is not disconnected during the download.
  2. Extract the “MechCommander 2” folder to your desktop. You will need software like WinRAR to do this.
  3. Open the folder called “Game Files” and there you want to open the folder called “vase”.
  4. Right click on the file named “Mc2Rel.EXE” and click properties. Go to the “Compatibility” tab and check the box next to “Run this program in compatibility mode for” and then select “Windows XP (Service Pack 2)” from the drop-down menu. Check the box next to “Run as administrator” and then click “Apply” and then click “OK.”
  5. To start the game, simply double-click the file called “Mc2Rel.exe” and the game should start automatically.
  6. Enjoy the game!
  7. Mouse cursor missing? Go to the options menu, deselect mouse hardware upgrade, and then apply the changes.
