Mechwarrior 4: Mercenaries is a vehicle simulation video game for Microsoft Windows, released in 2002. It is a stand-alone expansion for MechWarrior 4: Vengeance, based on the BattleTech MechWarrior game universe. On July 9, 2009, it was announced that the Mechwarrior 4: Mercenaries and the Clan and Inner Sphere expansions would be re-released for free.

How to play on Windows (MechWarrior_4_Mercenaries_Win_Preinstalled_EN.rar)

  1. Click the download button. It should redirect you to your download. Make sure you download the file correctly and that the Internet is not disconnected during the download.
  2. Extract the “MechWarrior 4 Mercenaries” folder to your desktop. You will need software like WinRAR to do this.
  3. Open the folder called “Game Files” and there you want to open the folder called “vase”.
  4. Right click on the file named “MW4Mercs.exe” and click properties. Go to the “Compatibility” tab and check the box next to “Run this program in compatibility mode for” and then select “Windows 7” from the drop-down menu. Check the box next to “Run as administrator” and then click “Apply” and then click “OK.”
  5. To start the game, simply double-click the file called “MW4Mercs.exe” and the game should start automatically.
  6. Enjoy the game!
  7. If you have any problems, run the file called “autoconfig_MERCS” as administrator, select “advanced” and change the graphics settings (you may have to experiment with this until you find one that works with your computer).
