The criminals stole nearly 100 million pesos. Rosario panics.
Some relatives of Lionel Messi’s wife Antonella Roccuzzo have endured a traumatic time after they fell victim to a violent attack in which a million dollars was stolen. The incident took place in the Argentinian city of Rosario, which is why the footballer and his wife fear for the safety of their loved ones.
On Wednesday, Argentinian media documented the incident: two criminals intercepted a car with two people in it, including Antonella’s cousin, and a bag containing money. The thieves got out of the strange car, broke one of the windows and took two bags containing money.
During the attack, shots were fired into the car. In the end, they took away 8 million Argentine pesos (approximately 100 million Colombian pesos).
A doctor who attended to the victims said they had bruises, high blood pressure and were in shock.
This is not the first time Antonella Roccuzzo’s family has been the victim of violence: Supermercado Único, owned by Messi’s wife’s family, was hit with an act of extortion this year.
