Jordan played basketball at the University of North Carolina before being drafted by the Chicago Bulls. Smith attends Winston-Salem State University, while Scott attends the University of Texas, whose football team lost to the University of Washington in the College Football Playoff semifinals last week.
On Monday night, Scott witnessed some form of revenge, surrounded by several sports legends, as Michigan defeated the Huskies 34-13 to capture its first NCAA national championship since 1997.

The Wolverines ended the season with a 15-0 win, a win that players later called a “perfect ending” to their tumultuous season that was marred by off-field controversy over a sign-stealing scandal. Trouble.
But that didn’t stop Michigan State’s players, coaches and fans from celebrating their long-awaited NCAA championship.
On Instagram, former Michigan quarterback Tom Brady said he was “extremely proud” of this year’s Wolverines. Brady, 46, was the backup quarterback behind Brian Griese in 1997, when Michigan last won the NCAA championship.
