Michael Jordan meets Rangers during College GameDay – OutKick

Finally someone dunked on Michael Jordan.

During Saturday morning’s ESPN College GameDay broadcast — which, by the way, was not nearly as exciting as Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff — the NBA legend spotted a lost man in the crowd from a fan.

GameDay is broadcast live in Charlotte, a neutral site hosting the Duke-Mayo Classic between South Carolina and 20th– Ranked North Carolina.

*Interestingly, Duke found a way to get into the North Carolina game.

Regardless, a fan in the crowd used his TV time to take a shot at the former majority owner of the Charlotte Hornets. He held a sign that read: “Not even Jordan can win in Charlotte.”

Who made South Carolina fans take shots at Jordan on the Week 1 bingo card?

Jordan’s struggles as Hornets owner

The literal signs that college football is coming are those filled with game day crowds. You love seeing it. Unless you’re Michael Jordan. But poor handwriting aside, the South Carolina fan got most of it right this morning.

To say Jordan’s tenure in Charlotte was a failure would be like saying the Titanic was a bumpy ride. During Jordan’s 13 seasons as the majority owner of the Hornets, the team only made the playoffs twice and never advanced past the second round. The 2022-23 season is the seventh consecutive season that the Hornets have failed to make the playoffs.

Jordan clearly has nothing to offer Bath City worth talking about.

In a few hours, North Carolina had a chance to change that — at least for one night. The Tar Heels and Gamecocks are scheduled to tip off tonight at 7:30 PM ET. PointsBet currently lists UNC as a 2.5-point favorite.
