Michael Jordan was there when the DJ decided to play the Chicago Bulls theme music – OutKick

Give this DJ a drink and a raise now!

A new video has been released of Michael Jordan visiting a bar/restaurant while on vacation in Cannes with his wife, when suddenly the DJ starts playing Jordan’s classic Chicago Bulls “Sirius” intro song.

Jordan loved it

As a DJ myself, doing what this guy did is always a risky move. Sometimes celebrities want to remain anonymous or receive no attention – especially when they’re with their families.

But at the same time, as the guy with the mic and the auxiliary line, your job is to maximize the hype level.I’m sure when rumors spread that Jordan was there and seemed to be having a great time, DJ thought to himself, “I must “Play the song.” He fired, and damn sure it worked. At one point, Jordan even pumped his fist while his wife clapped and loved it too.

I immediately found myself transported back to the early 1990s, watching the NBA on NBC (another great theme song there!), Marv Albert screaming Jordan play-by-play, and all those great Bulls Teams played against the Spurs, Rockets, Jazz, Pacers, Sonics, Knicks — you name it. What a wonderful time. What a song!

How did the Bulls choose this song?

In 1984, Bulls announcer Tommy Davis was sitting in a movie theater waiting for the movie to start when the 114-second song began to play. Davis said he found out it was from the Alan Parsons Project and went and bought the album the next day and started practicing the band’s “Sirius” song and the rest because they said it was history .

Parsons’ version of the song has been retired since 2004, but the team still uses other versions from time to time.

Of course, no one can compare to those glory days when Michael Jordan proved he was the greatest player of all time. I mean, how could he not be after he walked out like that?
