Michael Jordan’s ex-wife helps son Marcus capitalize on father’s $5.1 billion brand

We usually feel intimidated when us moms jump on the social media bandwagon, but not Marcus Jordan. His mom, the one and only Juanita Vanoy, has been one of Instagram’s best voices since she recently joined. We’ve seen her support her son’s relationship with Larsa Pippen, express her adoration for Larsa, and now she’s promoting Marcus’ business.

His luxury boutique, The Trophy Room, has partnered with Jordan Brand to launch a series of limited-edition Air Jordan shoes. The latest one is the Trophy Room x Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Rookie Card – Away”.

The new release comes with a short film filled with nostalgia. Vanoy promoted the shoes and clip on her Instagram, along with a brief message telling you where to find these new Air Jordans, “Exclusively available at the Trophy Room store.“

The new collection will be available exclusively through Trophy Room when it launches on March 14th. The sweepstakes is now open March 11-13.

The Trophy Room version of the AJ comes in a red, black and white color scheme with a touch of yellow that is reminiscent of the unique border of Michael Jordan’s iconic Fleer card from his rookie era. Marcus kicked it up a notch with a promotional video that his mother is also promoting.

In this short film, a teenager from the ’80s finds a vintage MJ card in a faded and stylish setting and gives it to a collector. In exchange, he received the Air Jordan 1 Low OG, which gave him a view of Michael Jordan before the championship game through an old telescope. He even almost flew away like an old school Walkman, his magnanimity style, with the highly recognizable Swoosh logo on the sneakers. Eventually he encouraged a friend to also switch his MJ card to AJ.
