MIDNIGHT IN HIVGRASS STORY – HUNT FOR A SERIAL KILLER
Midnight in the mill – Hunting for a serial killer, Directed by Randall Emmett, the film is set in 2004 in Pensacola, Florida, where the silence of the city is broken by a series of brutal murders that shock society.
Lucy Baylor, a 16-year-old girl, has gone missing, prompting the Sheriff’s Department to launch a frantic search for the young girl. While investigating, a man stumbles upon the lifeless body of a 20-year-old woman, Sarah Kellogg, which bears the unmistakable signs of a brutal attack.
The agent is interested in the case Byron Crawford (Emil Hirsch), convinced that this is the work of a serial killer that an expert investigator has been tracking for many years and that he has always operated along I-10, a highway that crosses the south of the United States, starting in Los Angeles, passing through Texas to arrive in Florida.
Meanwhile, an FBI agent Karl Helter (Bruce Willis) and his secret partner Rebecca Lombardi (Megan Fox) are engaged in another, but no less serious matter. In fact, they are investigating a sex trafficking network targeting vulnerable young women.
Convinced that their deeds are intertwined and that they are facing the same treacherous foe, Byron, Carl and Rebecca join forces, pooling their resources, knowledge and intuition to solve a complex puzzle. As their search intensifies, the series’ actions become more daring and potentially lethal even for the team of investigators…

The film is based on a true story, about “Texas’ most dangerous serial killer”. L’parameter however, part of the film was moved to Florida (although some scenes were filmed in Puerto Rico).
As with many of the films in which he took part in the last few years before his retirement from cinema, Bruce Willis shot all of his scenes in the blink of an eye.. At the same time, his engagement on the set lasted only one day.
This is the directorial debut of producer Randall Emmett., founder of production company Emmett/Furla Oasis Films. Films he has produced or co-produced include Escape Plan, The Lone Survivor and The Irishman, as well as dozens of action and thriller films starring Bruce Willis, Mark Wahlberg and Al Pacino.
