Since the end of September until last Sunday, 22,257 Madeira residents have been vaccinated against influenza, within the scope of the ongoing seasonal campaign, which protects all citizens over the age of 55, in addition to the two groups also identified. age.idade.

According to the latest vaccination bulletin issued by the District Health Service (DRS), 1,334 high-dose vaccines have been administered.

Last week, a total of 5,963 cows were delivered, a number included in the weekly average recorded since the start of the campaign.

DRS data shows that 13,856 vaccines have been administered to people 55 or older, equivalent to 15% coverage for this group. For people aged 65 or older, the coverage is just 20.6%, with 10,763 people vaccinated.

Only patients with chronic diseases should be included in these urban groups chosen for enhanced protection against influenza viruses, in order of the 8,303 people vaccinated on October 29.
