    Plot of the movie Revenant – Revenant: The film is set in Dakota in 1823. A group of hunters, led by Hugh Glass, is attacked by the native Arikara tribe, which kills many victims. Terrified by the possibility of a new assault, the survivors abandon the ship with which they are sailing upriver, as they would be too exposed, and decide to hide their furs to make it back to the village on foot.
    While walking in the woods, Glass is attacked by a grizzly bear and engages in a grueling fight with the imposing animal. While managing to shoot down the wild beast, the hunter sustains serious injuries and cannot continue his journey.
    Since the Arikara are on the trail of the hunters and Glass seems about to die, the leader of the expedition decides to leave him in the woods. Glass is assisted by his son Hawk, the kindly Bridger and the ruthless hunter John Fitzgerald. The latter agrees to watch over the dying man and give him a proper burial, in exchange for a large sum of money.
    However, tired of watching over the man, Fitzgerald wants to kill Glass and collect his reward, taking advantage of the absence of the other companions. Hawk watches the scene and attempts to save his father but is brutally murdered, under the helpless gaze of Glass.
    Fitzgerald hides the two bodies and convinces the naïve Bridger to flee before the Indians arrive…
