MSP issues decree to include hepatitis C testing in health cards

The Ministry of Public Health (MSP) will include hepatitis C testing in work and sports health cards, according to a decree issued this month. “Including health control (health card), serological determination of antibodies to the hepatitis C virus (anti-HCV test) for all persons engaged in work activities and in physical and sports activities”, refers to the MSP Decree of 5 September.

The decree also states that health institutions or services that issue health control certificates or medical sports competency certificates may be sanctioned by the Ministry of Public Health if they do not meet the requirements for conducting hepatitis C research.
