They will be held on the night of Sunday 7 May MTV Movie & TV Awards 2023which will air on MTV and stream NOW simultaneously with the United States.

Today the nominations of the films and television series were announced, as you can read below thanks to the complete press release:

“TOP GUN: MAVERICK”, “STRANGER THINGS”, “THE LAST OF US”, “THE WHITE LOTUS” AND “WEDNESDAY” AMONG THE CANDIDATES FOR THE TV SERIES

“JERSEY SHORE FAMILY VACATION”, “RUPAUL’S DRAG RACE”, “THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS” AND “VANDERPUMP RULES” LEADING THE NOMINATIONS FOR TV PROGRAMS

In Italy the show will be broadcast on MTV (Sky channel 131 and streaming on NOW) and on MTV Music (Sky channels 132 and 704) simultaneously with the United States from the famous Barker Hangar in Los Angeles on the night of Sunday 7 May.

Fan voting is open on vote.mtv.com until Monday 17 April

MTV announced the nominations for the MTV Movie & TV Awards 2023 and starting today fans will be able to vote for their favorite artists in the 26 genderless categories by visiting the site vote.mtv.com by Monday 17 April at 18.00.

The evening, who sees Drew Barrymore as hostwill honor the most successful and most respected artists and shows in cinema and television in an unmissable international event that will be simulcast live on MTV in over 170 countries.

In Italy the show will be broadcast on MTV (Sky channel 131 and streaming on NOW) and on MTV Music (Sky channel 132 and 704) simultaneously with the United States from the famous Barker Hangar in Los Angeles on the night of Sunday 7 May. Additionally, the show will be reruns in the subbed version on Monday, May 8 at 9:00pm on MTV and 10:00pm on MTV Music, Tuesday, May 9 at 9:00pm on VH1 (Sky channel 715 and digital terrestrial channel 167) and on Comedy Central (Sky channel 129) Wednesday 10 May from 10.00 pm. The show will also be available later on the Paramount+ streaming service

Among the shows that have received the most nominations in scripted productions we see in the lead “Top Gun: Maverick” (6) on a par with “Stranger Things” (6) and “The Last of Us” (6). They follow closely “The White Lotus” (4) together with “Wednesday” (4).

Among the unscripted productions, we see tied “Jersey Shore Family Vacation” (2), “RuPaul’s Drag Race” (2), “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” (2) and “Vanderpump Rules” (2)

Two new categories have been announced for the 2023 edition: Best Reality On-Screen Team And Best Kick-Ass Cast.

The sponsors of the MTV Movie & TV Awards include Cheetos® and SONIC®.

The executive producers of the MTV Movie & TV Awards 2023 are Bruce Gillmer, Wendy Plaut and Vanessa Whitewolf along with Jesse Ignjatovic and Barb Bialkowski from Den of Thieves. Jackie Barba and Alicia Portugal are in charge of production and Lisa Lauricella is in charge of musical talent.
