National team technical assistant Eric Rodriguez dies

Shocking news was confirmed on Tuesday that national team coach Eric Rodríguez, who served as technical assistant to Claudio Vivas during the European friendly matches of the Costa Rica national team, has passed away.

The Federal Federation confirmed in a press release that Rodriguez died of pneumonia while in the Netherlands.

The federation is reportedly covering the costs of the situation and shipping the remains to Costa Rica.

Rodriguez has also coached the U-17 and U-20 teams, and in national football, he has coached teams such as Santos and Liberia Municipals.
