One NBA scout believes Minnesota Timberwolves shooting guard Anthony Edwards is the next Michael Jordan.
Edwards has drawn comparisons to Jordan for his athleticism and scoring ability.
Edwards averaged 27.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game for the Timberwolves. The All-Star shot 51.0% from the field, 43.2% from beyond the arc and 82.4% from the free throw line.
The Timberwolves haven’t won a playoff series since 2004. Edwards, the No. 1 pick in the 2020 draft, has been trying to be less “selfish” this season.
“It starts with myself, just not being selfish and worrying about how many points I want to score,” Edwards said, via The Athletic. “Just playing in the game, playing in the flow, I think that’s the most important thing for me. “I worry a lot about scoring, how many points I’m getting, and how many points I want to be getting, as opposed to just worrying about little little things. Things, rebounds, outs, getting back on defense. “
One NBA scout told Michael Scotto of HoopsHype that he believes Edwards is a top-10 player in the league.
