NBA star who earned $49.4 million in career, fell out with LeBron James wakes up jobless and unable to find a team

JAMYCHAL Green has had an NBA career that shows he’ll stand up to anyone and looks to continue that after remaining unsigned until the 2023 season.

The 33-year-old jump-shooting big man last played in the NBA in the 2022-23 season with the Golden State Warriors.

Green played nine seasons in the NBA with five teams.

The Montgomery-born big man was a standout high school player who grew up in Alabama.

Green was the No. 18 top-20 recruit coming out of high school, had offers from several of the top schools in the country and was a McDonald’s All-American.

He attended the University of Alabama before Mississippi, where he played four seasons.

Green was a two-time All-SEC selection.

Green left after his senior season and despite four outstanding seasons in college, Green went undrafted in the 2012 NBA Draft.

Green spent three seasons in the NBA G League before the San Antonio Spurs signed him to a brief 10-day contract.

After the Spurs chose not to renew, the Memphis Grizzlies signed him to multiple 10-day contracts before signing a multi-year contract with the team in 2015.

Green spent the next four seasons in Memphis before being traded to the Los Angeles Clippers.

He would go on to play for the Denver Nuggets and Warriors.

Last season, as a member of the Warriors, Green got into a minor altercation online with Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James during the second round of the NBA playoffs, calling him a “liar.”

Green has earned more than $49 million in his career and averaged 7.7 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.
