Netflix has revealed new looks at two of its upcoming video game adaptations: Devil May Cry And Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft — during the virtual celebration of Drop 01. Both received their first trailers, revealing intriguing new details about what to expect, although neither was given exact release dates.
Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft received the more substantial trailer of the two, with footage showing Croft (voiced by Hayley Atwell) jumping into a mysterious cave, fighting a raging fire, coming face to face with what appears to be a magical nine-tailed force, remembering old friends and finally owning bow and arrows in the jungle.
As detailed, the series will follow Croft after the events of the Crystal Dynamics video game trilogy, which reimagines the heroine in more gritty and realistic circumstances. The series is produced by Legendary Entertainment and animated by Powerhouse Animation, the same people behind the Netflix series. Castlevania.

Devil May Cry also appeared during Drop 01, with a subtle teaser trailer showing just a glimpse of protagonist Dante facing a mysterious enemy, jumping around the screen and firing his dual pistols, Ebony and Ivory. This upcoming series is helmed by Adi Shankar, who has also worked on Castlevaniawith Studio Mir (The Legend of Korra) on animation duties.

While this teaser only includes bare details, Dante’s design is worth analyzing. It seems to combine elements from several Devil May Cry games – including misunderstood ones DmC: Devil May Cry reboot – suggesting it could be a completely new take on the series. Hair reminds me of Dante Devil May Cry 2 his coat is a combination Devil May Cry 5 and original Devil May Cryand his necklace looks like a necklace from DmK.
In spirit Castlevania, most likely, it will be a new reimagining of the long-running franchise. You can see the first look at the upcoming series below:
