It will enter radio rotation from Friday, June 23rd. “ALGORITHMS”, band’s new single KASABIANwho are back almost a year after the success of their last album of unreleased songs”Euphoria of the Alchemist” (Columbia Records/Sony Music).
“ALGORITHMS”, with its fresh and innovative sound, fits in with Kasabian’s production of great songs with a more epic sound, and faces the pitfalls of the recent emergence of artificial intelligence in today’s society. “They will never feel love like we do.denounces Serge, hypothesizing a future devoid of empathy. The song was written with Mark Ralph (Years & Years, Hot Chip & Bad Boy Chiller Crew).
Serge explains: “”Algorithms” is a song that explores the idea that robots can’t feel emotions and be emotionally present like humans, and that’s the beauty that separates us… for now.”
Artificial intelligence can take over, but how “Algorithms” expressed very well, it can never beat the human heart.
Uncanny is the studio of Elliott Elder and George Munsey, and Ewan Leslie is a special presence on this project.
“The song emphasizes the difference between the thoughts and emotions of humans and machines, which is why we decided to use both analogue and digital methods. Composition of the work, preparing a video on screen, then physically scanning the work, and then recording the animation with hand-drawn characters. The facial animation was created using Kasabian’s own neural network of images, asking them to invent creatures that would potentially exist in the group. The final file was then filmed on a display lit not by RGB pixels, but by magnets that physically move the color particles across the screen.”
Kasabian is Serge Pizzorno, bassist Chris Edwards, drummer Ian Matthews and guitarist Tim Carter.
