NFL fans criticize former Cowboys quarterback for equating Tua Tagovailoa with Tom Brady

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has been outstanding this season and looks like he could be an early MVP candidate.

Entering today’s game against the Buffalo Bills, he passed for 1,024 yards, eight touchdowns, two interceptions, completed 71.3% of his passes, and had a passer rating of 121.9.

The Dolphins-Bills game looked like it might be a shootout as the first three drives to start the game all resulted in touchdowns. Former NFL quarterback and broadcaster Tony Romo compared Tua to Tom Brady.

“Tua is playing like Tom Brady in his prime.”

Here’s how fans reacted:

Tua Tagovailoa is no match for Tom Brady

Tua Tagovailoa during the Denver Broncos vs. Miami Dolphins

Through the first three weeks of football, Tua Tagovailoa has been the best among quarterbacks in the league.

He started the 2022 season hot, but then got injured and refused to play late in the season.

Although Tagovailoa has come a long way as a quarterback, he’s still no match for Tom Brady.

Brady is the greatest quarterback of all time and holds records such as most quarterback wins, passing yards, completions and Super Bowl wins. He has seven Super Bowl wins, five Super Bowl MVPs, three regular season MVPs, and was selected to the All-Pro and Pro Bowl a total of 21 times.

Tagovailoa leads the league in passer rating and is named a 2022 Pro Bowler. He doesn’t have enough accomplishments to compare to greats like Brady.

Fans have every right to criticize Tony Romo for comparing Tagovailoa to Tom Brady.
