Olivia Rodrigo will perform an intimate performance of “Guts” in Los Angeles this week

Tickets for Monday’s show at the Theater at the Ace Hotel go on sale to AmEx cardholders on Sunday with just one hour’s notice. The recorded concert will be broadcast on YouTube on Tuesday.

Olivia Rodrigo can flex a little more of her energy at a one-off performance in downtown Los Angeles this week, as American Express announced Sunday morning that the singer-songwriter is set to perform an intimate show for her cardholders at the Theater at Ace. Hotel on Monday evening.

Cardholders will have to act quickly. Following the announcement at 9 a.m. on Sunday, tickets for An Evening with Olivia Rodrigo will go on sale to AmEx members just one hour later at 10 a.m. PT on Sunday through AXS at this link. Tickets are $25 and will benefit Fund 4 Good, the singer’s new nonprofit.

All is not lost for fans who didn’t buy tickets to the show at the 1,600-seat former cinema palace. The performance will be filmed and made available to the public via a livestream that will air on Rodrigo’s YouTube channel starting Tuesday night at 8:00 pm ET/5:00 pm PT and remaining live on the platform through Thursday.

Rodrigo will perform numbers from his recent album “Guts” and share his songwriting stories. While AmEx has not confirmed other details of her performance, it is expected to be a solo concert — a la a fuller version of the three-song set Rodrigo performed while accompanying herself on piano or guitar at the Grammy Museum last week.

AmEx describes the show in the ornate theater at the Ace Hotel (formerly the United Artists Theatre, in its 1930s heyday) as an “immersive concert experience” that will “bring some of Guts’ most iconic moments to life” on Instagram – ready-made photo opportunities, including an image of “Bad Idea, Right?” video clips.

The event is part of AmEx Member Week, similar to the Jack Harlow talk it hosted in New York last year.

There are a few months left before Rodrigo and his band begin their world tour. It is scheduled to begin at Acrisure Arena in Palm Springs on February 23, 2024, and conclude with a four-night run at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on August 13-14 and 16-17. “Guts” currently sits at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 in its third week on the chart after debuting in September with a strong 302,000 copies. He is expected to be among the frontrunners for the 2024 Grammy Awards. Reviews were enthusiastic across the board, with Diversity writes: “Two years of growing up didn’t change how accomplished and amazingly fun her music was from the very beginning. Again, this is one of the most artful and delightful albums of the year? Of course it is.”
