O’Donnell won’t be promoted from practice squad as team elects to promote OLB Keshawn Banks instead.

O’Donnell, 32, is a former sixth-round pick of the Bears in 2014. He completed a four-year, $2,325,308 contract with the Bears before returning to Chicago on a one-year deal.

O’Donnell later agreed to a two-year, $4 million contract in 2019. He’s expected to become an unrestricted free agent again in 2021 before returning on a one-year deal.

The Packers signed O’Donnell to a two-year, $4 million contract but chose to release him after the preseason. The Falcons signed him in Week 8 against the Titans, and he recently worked out with the Cardinals before rejoining Atlanta’s practice squad.

Pat O’Donnell started all 17 games for the Packers in 2022, hauling in 52 passes for 2,313 yards (44.5 annual PA), including 24 inside the 20-yard line.
