Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, the new episodes of Yellowjackets and George & Tammy arrive in the catalog of the streaming service.
In April up Paramount+ we sing, we dance and we scream in terror! About the service stream here comes one of the most awaited news of this spring: Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, prequel series of the iconic musical of the same name from the 70s, focused on the legendary Pink Ladies of Rydell High. It’s 1954 and the musical comedy tells the little-known origin story of a band of fed up and marginalized girls who, before rock ‘n’ roll reigns and before the T-Birds become the coolest in school, dare to have fun at on his own terms, setting off a “moral panic” that will change Rydell High forever. And as if their songs weren’t enough to put pressure on your vocal cords, season 2 of the hit psychological horror hit is here too Yellowjackets (with Rabbit hole postponed by a few weeks compared to what was previously announced, apparently due to the recent voice actors’ strike). The series follows a team of soccer players who become the unfortunate survivors of a plane crash in the remote wilderness of the North. What happened after that tragedy and what are their lives like 25 years later?
About songs and golden throats, the miniseries George & Tammy follows Michael Shannon and Academy Award winner Jessica Chastain as country music power couple George Jones and Tammy Wynette, whose complicated but enduring relationship inspired some of the most iconic songs of all time. With over 30 hits, including duets We’re gonna hold on, Golden ring And Near You, George and Tammy’s legacy, both musically and as a couple, remains one of the greatest love stories ever told. Lovers of irreverent animation will finally be able to set their sights on the latest revival of the cult series Beavis and Butt-Head. Furthermore, after being mistreated for a long time or simply ignored in Italy, The Game, one of the most loved and long-lived sports series on American TV, finally finds the stage it deserves here too. The dramedy follows members of a team and their wives and girlfriends to offer a modern analysis of Black Culture through the lens of pro football.
