Dunesthe popular novel by Frank Herbert, has been adapted to the cinema both since David Lynch, in 1989, in a version that is still today an open wound for its director, given the obvious flop of audiences and critics. Recently, Rebecca Fergusonwho in the film plays Lady Jessica, mother of Paul (Timothee Chalamet) and concubine of the Duke (Oscar Isaac), revealed that according to her Dunes: Part 2 it will be even better than the first movie. As it reports ComicBook.com, Ferguson stated the following:
“Running on the sand dunes…feeling small compared to these places, but also to Mother Nature herself…I love it. I have to say: part 2 is better than the first. And I say this without having seen it, but based on what I read of the script, to what I shot!”
With such enthusiasm, fans will only be more eager to see in theaters Dunes – Part 2which will welcome a number of new stars to the cast, such as Austin Butler as Feyd Rautha, Florence Pugh will be Princess Irulan, Christopher Walken will play the role of the Emperor and Léa Seydoux will be Lady Margot Fenring. Dunes – Part 2 will adapt a key part of the novel, focusing on Paul’s journey to become the mythic figure of the messiah for the inhabitants of Arrakis. The young duke will have to gather the Fremen armies and face Vladimir Harkonen (Stellan Skarsgard).
