And right now, the hottest condo exchange on the market is a place in Whistler for the ski season.
If you own a condo in Whistler, you have your choice of full or partial exchanges this winter, from a Yaletown condo to a West Vancouver home to a home in Hawaii.
Residents in East Vancouver, West End and Deep Cove are also looking to trade up to Whistler.
Some people want to ski every weekend this winter, while others just want to switch homes for a couple of weeks during the winter break.

“This may be common if you need to come into town for work or meetings,” wrote a potential trader from Deep Cove. “The prices of hotels and Airbnbs these days are just stupid.”
Accommodation prices in Whistler have risen since the pandemic after Canada opened its borders to allow international tourists back. It looks like home swapping is one way people are still trying to have their dream ski vacation without spending a lot of money.
