Peter Pan & Wendy – A new clip shows the irresistible evil of Captain Hook

In a new official clip – shared in original language on Disney social channels – Captain Hook shows himself in all his wickedness, going so far as to trample a man simply because he dared to mention his archenemy, Peter Pan. The video, however, also shows that the‘irresistible comic verve of the character from the animated film remained unchanged. So the Disney live action villains strike again. In all the remakes, in fact, the villans have the face of authentic Hollywood stars, often able to obscure the latent charm of the protagonists – Helena Bonham Carter (Alice in Wonderland), Cate Blanchett (Cinderella), Luke Evans (The beauty and the Beast), Emma Stone (Cruella), Angelina Jolie (Maleficent) and Melissa McCarthy (The little Mermaid). The faithful companion then appears alongside Captain Hook \ Jude Law Sponge (Jim Gaffigan), the ship’s boy, ready to remedy Hook’s woes.

Peter Pan & Wendy then entrusts the role of the protagonists to two semi-debutants, Alexander Molony – in his feature film debut – ed Even Anderson – daughter of actress Mila Jovovich and director Paul WS Anderson. Anderson has already appeared on the big screen, though, in small roles—she starred alongside her mother in Resident Evil: The Final Chapter and played the “teenage version” of Natasha Romanoff in Black Widow. To wear the clothes of Tinkerbell fairy and instead Yara Shahidialready at the center of heavy racist attacks, also aimed at her colleague Halle Bailey, Ariel in the live action remake of The little Mermaid. They then complete the cast Alyssa Wapanatâhk, Joshua Pickering, Jacobi Jupe, Molly Parker and Alan Tudyk. At the direction of the project we find instead David Loweryformer director of The invisible dragon. Peter Pan & Wendyas mentioned, will be released directly in stream on Disney+as already happened for other remakes – Pinocchio, Lady and the Tramp, Lilo & Stitchwhose production is currently underway – and is the first of two live action adaptations scheduled for this year – is in fact expected in theaters on May 24 The little Mermaid. Appointment therefore at April 28th.
