Captain Hook shows his evil side in the new Peter Pan & Wendy clip, April 28 on Disney+
Peter Pan & Wendy is coming to Disney+. With the output set for on April 28th will be the first live-action Disney to debut in 2023. A close tour will follow then The little Mermaid which will instead be released in theaters on May 25th. After the trailer, Walt Disney Studios just released a new clip of the film adaptation of the beloved 1953 classic in which we can get to know a little more closely the decidedly evil temperament of Captain Hook. In the video the villain played by Jude Law he seems like someone who doesn’t take long to lose his temper and we even see it literally trample on a man while giving orders to the boatswain Spugna (in English Smee). Captain Hook is one of Disney’s most iconic villains and it will be interesting to see what cut Jude Law will give to this famous character. A character conceived in a comic key, despite the intentions of revenge against Peter Pan. As for the brusque and quick to anger character, Law seems to have struck the right chords. In the video we see Captain Hook knocking down a door with a gunshot. The reason for this reaction? Someone only dared to mention his archenemy, Peter Pan. In Peter Pan & Wendy they will be Alexander Maloney and Ever Anderson to interpret the two protagonists of the title. Next to them and Jude Law will also be there Yara Shahidi as Tinker Bell and Jim Gaffigan as Captain Hook’s trusted right-hand man Sponge. The live-action is directed by David Lowery, who co-wrote the screenplay with Toby Halbrooks. Lowery has promised that his adaptation will not be set on darker tones and in the clip we see how there are funny comic exaggerations, in line with those of the animated film. The action will certainly not be missing, as well anticipated by the trailer released a few weeks ago.
