Manchester United fans hit back at Piers Morgan after he made a sly dig at Erik ten Hag under pressure.
Crystal Palace handed United their fourth defeat in their first seven league games, their worst start to a season since 1989/90, when Sir Alex Ferguson came close to being sacked. Following last weekend’s win over Burnley, which saw United beat the same opponents in the Carabao Cup, it looked like United were turning their season around, but the pressure is starting to mount on Ten Hagues.
The Dutchman will not get any sympathy from TV personality Morgan, who has been scathing about United’s treatment of Cristiano Ronaldo during his second spell in charge at the club. It was Ronaldo’s explosive interview with Morgan last year that hastened his departure, which was confirmed on November 22.

Without the Portuguese superstar, United went on to win the Carabao Cup, reach the FA Cup final and qualify for the Champions League. However, affected by a series of off-field problems, Manchester United started the season badly, with a record low loss to Crystal Palace.
After the loss, Arsenal fan Morgan posted a photo of himself with Ronaldo on X (formerly Twitter) and wrote “Hi Eric” with a waving emoji.

However, United fans hit back at Morgan, accusing him of being obsessed with Ronaldo’s broken relationship with United. One X user replied: “Piers, you’re obsessed with the Ten Witches. What’s wrong with you? Support your team and focus on them, not the manager who made it to two cup finals last year.”
Another added: “I think you’re the only one obsessed with Manchester United.” A third agreed: “Obsessed with Ronaldo, you not caring about your own business is part of the problem. Why don’t you follow him in Saudi Arabia and let Manchester United continue to have problems?”
TNT is the only place you can watch all the Champions League games this year. You can watch every match from the group stages all the way to the final as Manchester City look to defend their crown as the latest kings of the biggest and best football tournament in the world.
Another sniper said: “Piers, I’m obsessed with Manchester United again. I have feelings for you. You need help.” A fifth agreed: “You’re obsessed with Cristiano and I’m sure he will be forever grateful to you. Release his contract and let him play in the Farmers League. But you need to let it go. You should be happy that Havertz scored for Arsenal today.”
One fan said: “This guy is obsessed with ETH. I can’t remember the last time Arsenal won a major trophy, I believe this should be something he is worried about.”
