Born as an adaptation of Alasdair Gray’s 1992 novel of the same name, Poor creatures! follows fantastic evolution Handsome Baxter (Emma Stone). A young woman brought back to life by brilliant scientist Dr. Godwin Baxter (Willem Dafoe) using unconventional methods will be determined to learn as much as possible. Eager to learn about the mundane from which she keeps her distance, she will come into contact with the unscrupulous and promiscuous lawyer Duncan Wedderburn (Mark Ruffalo).
