Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot Reportedly Dubbed ‘Wonderful’ After Recent Test Screenings

Remake of the Disney cartoon Snow White continues to make headlines, with some recent rumors going so far as to claim that lead star Rachel Zegler has been fired and the film itself cancelled. We can assure you that this is not the case, and although opinions on the project are still very divided, it will begin next year.

While Zegler has had to deal with racial slurs, her previous comments about the original animated classic have become a sticking point for many Disney fans, as has the decision to scrap The Seven Dwarfs and other classic elements of the story such as Prince Florian.

However, The DisInsider (via SFFGazette.com) reports that the film “scored very well” at test screenings, where those in attendance said both Zegler and Evil Queen actress Gal Gadot “wonderful.”

The website explains that β€œThe film will feature a hybrid of live action and CGI as the characters will be anthropomorphic like the previous animated film. The film will also be a musical, which is different from the original.”

The Princess and the Frog, confused, FrozenAnd Tarzan The films are all in various stages of development, but any recent casting rumors are supposedly untrue.

However, there is one particularly interesting news; looks like something is going on with Atlantis: The Lost Empire, although it is not yet clear what this might be. An animated film has a devoted following, so an epic live-action film can be amazing.

While Disney has been a bit unlucky with its live-action offerings, the next few years look incredibly exciting and we’re hopeful that at least most of them will become a reality… hopefully without the kind of drastic changes that have apparently taken place Snow White as if under fire. However, we will have to wait and see.
